Hope is a lover of words, people, clouds, water, photography, strong coffee, laughter, doodling, and coming alongside others to encourage and help.
She was widowed in 2017 by a wonderful man who lost his life to suicide. She is a mom of two kids, a teen with social anxiety, and a non-binary AuDHD young adult. She has a background in nursing and psychology. She graduated with a BSN from UT Knoxville, and a MA-MFT/PC from Johnson University. She is a mental health therapist serving residents of South Carolina in that capacity, as well as a coach serving clients worldwide.
She desires to help people see that they are the expert of their own life, that they hold their own answers, that they can learn to trust and believe themselves. Everyone deserves to be heard and to be believed.
Hope especially enjoys assisting people who are:
facing grief and loss,
navigating spiritual abuse, religious trauma, & abuses of power,
questioning toxic theology or spiritual/religious beliefs overall (often called deconstruction),
experiencing loss of faith or spirituality (often called deconversion),
encountering a new kind of faith or non religious spirituality, (sometimes called reconstruction or reclamation),
partner loss,
suicide bereavement,
pregnancy losses such as miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, ectopic pregnancy, or post abortion support etc.,
parents struggling to accept their LGBTQIA+ children,
and difficulties reconciling one’s faith or spiritual beliefs with one’s gender and/or sexuality.
